I call it "The Hulk". It is both a large beast and very green. It seems much more robust than other vintage mag drills I have found online. I suspect it came from a factory in its former life; hence the liberal application of the ubiquitous special green paint from that era as used in those settings. The machinist who owned it before me used to work in one of the Great Lakes shipyards so I suspect it was retired from duty there.
I've only used it once, and that was to drill a carefully controlled hole "in situ" through a soapstone counter top in my kitchen for an R/O faucet install using a diamond core drill bit. It worked great in that non-OMWM application, which obviously did not require the magnetic base functionality. However, as a portable powerful drill press with a controlled feed mechanism it was just the ticket !
Someday it will get a well-deserved proper restoration.
Quite amazingly, these machines and most of the old vintage product lines are still produced and sold in India today under the brand name "Ralliwolf" as per the link below and photo # 5 below.

They even have retained the an uglier version of the green paint along with most of the decades-old British engineering.
