I purchased this lathe in 1967 in Los Angeles, CA.. At that time it had a knock, which I assumed was from a faulty bearing. I went to a Rockwell store to purchase a replacement, and the clerk said I must be mistaken about the serial number. "It would be too old," he said. I wonder the true date of manufacturing. The Delta motor is a 50 cycle, which I was told indicated the machine may have come from Canada. You will see in the photo that I use this, it's not just to look at.
