Working on a project that required some accurately drilled holes. I didn't have A drill press so I went searching around and found this machine for 50 dollars. I figured it was some piece of junk but when I saw the machine I bought it. The machine worked but not correctly. The belt was incorrect, the motor wasn't right (broken winding) and the quill shaft wanted to fall out just a mess. So I decided to restore it so it is safe. I completely sand blasted every part. The motor I repaired the winding, replaced the leads, laced the windings and shellaced them. I installed new bearings original New Departure. I made my own grease seals and gaskets. For the drill press all new old stock bearings and new belt. I plated all the bright work myself, zinc. The paint colors are hammered light blue, hammered gold, and hammered black. It is missing the quill return assembly, column cap, belt cover latch hardware, and the taper pin for centering the tilt table. Other than that it works like a dream. A new Motor pulley will be needed due to a careless previous owner.
