A friend of mine ran across this at an estate sale and I was lucky enough to snag it. It was very complete and in reasonable shape except for a horrible single phase motor mount "conversion" and a spindle pulley that was falling apart. I tried to preserve as much of the original paint as possible when I was cleaning it up and then everything got a stain clear coat to protect it. The original 3-phase motor was found hiding on a dusty corner shelf, so I made sure it came home with me. I added a VFD and custom control box to get full use out of the press. The VFD is hiding down under the foot to preserve the vintage look of this beauty. It was a huge step up for the DP225 I had restored and had been using before this one turned up. A lot more mass to it so it's more stable.
