I inherited this drill press from my grandfather. It was always at the base of the stairs in his basement wood shop in Riverton, NJ, across the river from Philadelphia. Tag on the belt guard says "D. Nast Machinery, Philadelphia, PA". This company is still around and I contacted them about the machine, but they do not have records dating back that far. Powered by a Hobart 1/3hp electric motor (also pictured). I have not been able to find out much on this machine, but there is a pdf in the Rockford Drilling Machine Co page that shows a picture of this drill press from one of their publications. The picture also shows a foot pedal which is missing from mine. I believe this was made in the 1930's, but I haven't found solid confirmation yet.
