I had been looking for a vintage jointer in the 8-12" range for about a year when recently I jumped on this one that I saw on CL priced similarly to 90s import 8" jointers in the area. Getting it home involved a forklift allowing the addition of two 4' 4x6 "feet" bolted to the base and two 25' 3Klb ratchet straps securing it inside a Uhaul. We looked almost professional, almost being the operative word. Getting it out was another story with a one ton engine hoist it was hairy to say the least. Now after a few underwear changes, it sits a foot off the center line of our two car garage, facing the right bay shop with the cantilevered motor claiming the unused triangular space between both right side doors of my wife's car in the left bay.

Now to replace the bearings etc...
