[ADMIN NOTE: The machine is badged as Crowthorn Engineering Co. Ltd. of England but it is identical to lathes made by Simplex Machine Tool Co. of Ohio. Simplex lathes were imported into England by machinery dealer Selson, badged by them as their "Regent" model. We believe the lathe in these photos was made by Simplex but imported and rebadged by Crowthorn to fill a gap in their lineup, since Crowthorn did not themselves make a lathe this size. We have not been able to find any ads or articles of this Crowthorn/Simplex lathe, nor have we seen any other examples.
