Yard sale find many years ago. Kind of like a jig saw, but can take much longer blades. It came with an assortment of blades, which is good because standard jig saw blades don’t fit and Wen no longer makes blades for this. Standard reciprocating saw blades don’t fit, but perhaps could be ground down to fit.

For me, it’s one of those tools that I rarely use, but when you need it nothing else will do. Like cutting a curve on the end of a long section of 4 x 4; the workpiece is too long to manipulate on a bandsaw. A jig saw would need to do a cut from each face and a lot of sanding to blend the two resulting profiles. But the All Saw can do the curved cut all the way through in one pass.

Comments: ad from 1959 Popular Science magazine. Good to know a saw with 7 inches of blade sticking out the bottom is completely safe :-)
