I bought this gem from a lovely lady in Cazadero California for $150. I'm not sure of it's history but she had owned it for quite some time and didn't want to see it go to a dealer or someone who would part it out on Ebay. I did a full restore, added a cam lock lever and a safety collar from an era Walker Turner drill press. It's now the crown jewel off my garage. I will use it to work on motorcycle parts and finishing 80% AR lowers. Someday my son and probably grandchildren will also enjoy it.

How I bought it in gently used condition. It was over-sprayed with a metallic blue/gray.

It had the original wood crate still bolted to the base. Inside of the wood crate base I found a sealed envelope with the original manual (molded and unsavable) and Closed Ends Wrench #1526 (savable).

I pulled her apart, cleaned, taped, walnut blasted, primered, painted and clear coated. I took the quill apart and lubed the bearings. The 1/3 hp Westinghouse motor ran like a top, so it got a cleaning, fresh paint and a re-pop decal from Pd2bob on Ebay.

I used Rust-Oleum dark machine gray and I’m super stoked about the outcome. It is almost silent while running.
