This machine was bought at auction from a cabinet shop that was being closed because of owner retirement. The machine was pretty complete and came with a nice set of collets, augers and chisels, and was fully operational. It also had the six foot long layout rod with the six stops.
The owner said he purchased it it at a government auction many years ago. The "Birth Certificate" from Eagle Machinery said it shipped to Fort Monmouth, NJ in July of 1951. Presumably, the owner of the cabinet shop purchased it at the auction when the base was closed.
