This is not my planer and it is not for sale or trade by me. As seen on the chip cover is the # 4470 which may be a model # or simply a part #? This model will also use side cutters for molding cuts. Information and "mentions" of the Triumph model of planer/molder can be found at these links, in the VM library:
Pages 164-165 http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/detail.aspx?id=3349
and
Pages 110-113 http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/detail.aspx?id=750
Thank you to the site historian - Jeff Joslin for the links and info.
[ 2021-12-14 JAJ: Updated to note that the name "HOWARD H. SAMUEL, INC." is marked on the cover right above the Triumph name. It appears that in 1946 American Saw Mill sold some planers and self-feeding ripsaw lines to that firm. They were made under the Howard H. Samuel, Inc., name until 1960 when they became Triumph Machinery Co. By that time these woodworking machines were pretty outdated and were not big sellers, and Triumph Machinery's primary focus was on mowing machines.]
