Comments:
I found this small drill press listed in an ad for $40. It runs fair, with a little sideways play in the spindle and the spindle thrust bearing is a little loose. It has brass bushings instead of bearings, so I will machine new bushings. It has what remains of the “COMPANION POWER TOOLS” decal on it. I plan to mechanically restore this machine, but I will wait about painting it until I can find someone that can reproduce the COMPANION decal.

It has a 1/4 HP Special Purpose Reversible Wagoner Motor on it. I do not know if the motor is original, but it is al least Period Correct.

The Quill arm is not original and is too small. I will make a new one for it after I find out the correct length.
