Comments:

Acquired at an estate sale in 2019. Owned since new by a gentleman who was a pilot for the Maine Fish and Wildlife service. The press was housed in an unheated basement which suffered numerous episodes of water leakage and flooding. The sale price was $25.00 USD.
The press also was fitted with a variable speed device(Vari-Slo Speed Control). This, along with the motor, helped in determining the press' date of manufacture since the Vari-Slo was not offered until 1954. The 1/2 HP Craftsman motor (Model 115.6962) was dated 3.1955.
The restoration paint is 'Rustoleum Hammered Gray' and 'Rustoleum Gloss Black'.
