I bought it from a machinery dealer who was in the process of selling several machines from Raytheons wood division. It was listed as a 23" planer which was a misprint. It originally sold with the straight knife head, and somewhere along the line was changed to the itch head from what Rich at eagle machinery informed me. I will put it into service as soon as I can make room for it. I was told it came from Raytheon (defense plant) and planed the crates for part of the vietnam war. The planer is pretty massive, but with a 10hp motor it should be able to plane just about anything
