I found this lathe on a local buy/sell/trade site. It had some surface rust and the headstock pulley was broken. I replaced the pulley, cleaned up the rust and painted it. I replaced the motor with a 2.5 HP DC permanent magnet motor and added an emergency stop switch, forward/reverse switch, speed control dial and digital tachometer. It is a very nice, robust lathe. I like the hand wheels to tighten the tailstock and tool rest.
