Nameplate from an early planer by the Guilford Iron Works of Guilford NY. This nameplate was salvaged from a planer that was destroyed when a tree fell on it in the 1970s. It hung on the wall of the garage of the man who had owned the planer until 2013, when he had a chance encounter with me, the great-great-great-great-granddaughter of Andrew Bradbury, proprietor of the Guilford Iron Works. We met in a restaurant in Guilford NY and when he learned of the family connection in conversation, he gifted the plaque to me.
