Comments:

This lathe was acquired locally in neglected condition. The surface rust was cleaned, the paint stripped and the repainted. A motor and stand were not included. I built a stand, connected the lathe to a 2.5 HP permanent magnet motor, installed a forward/reverse switch, emergency stop switch, speed control dial and digital tachometer. Also added a new live center. It runs silky smooth and should be good for another 50 or 60 years of turning.
