I recently acquired this lathe from seeing it in an ad on the NJ Craigslist. The original owner had moved more into metal working and he needed more room in his overcrowded garage. He bought it new and turned two spindles on it. The former owner bought some accessories and 7 piece Marples wood lathe tools that he gave me. He also made a 24 inch tool rest to make his spindles. The bed, with the tailstock in the first picture position, has 40 inches between centers. If you let the tailstock go off the bed a little you can get another 1" to 1.5" out of it. This is an American made Delta lathe, the manual is dated 12-17-1985. I mounted it to some plywood and slid it slowly down my basement steps to a cart and over into position. Since I cleaned out a spot along the wall I hit it with some Drylock masonery sealer before sliding it into position.
