This is not my lathe, it is not for sale. Pictures posted here w/owners permission, we'll call him "D". It weighs between 250-300 lbs.

After further discussion w/Ed Hobbs, a knowledgeable contributor and member of the OWWM site, he had this to add about the lathe, his website: http://www.footpoweredmachinery.com/

"A look at the pictures says to me this lathe has “mixed parentage. Sears did sell some foot powered machinery in their early catalogs. This one has a three step cast iron flywheel and a 2 step headstock pulley. The legs look to me like they were meant for a metal bed lathe (Sebastian) that has been replaced with a wooden structure including a wooden bed. Somebody added the wood on the right end of the flywheel shaft likely to give more weight. Pin striping and painting looks new and not in keeping with 1800’s vintage lathes."
