This is the version of the Powermatic Model 90 lathe that has 4" riser blocks installed at the head and tail stocks and a taller/ wider banjo. This is the first one of these I have ever seen in person. It came out of a local Middle School, but I do not know why. This one has a 1 1/2 hp three phase Baldor motor at 1725 rpm. The belt guard is plastic. Speed range on the model 91 is reduced to the range of 175-1100 rpms to allow for turning extremely large pieces.
