From Stan: I have owned the mill for over forty years. I bought it from a friend who owned it for several years, but I do not know how long. I do not know how old it is or where it was manufactured. I use it a great deal in by business of antique clock and pocket watch restoration. It is built like a small Bridgeport.

Other Notes: The machine appears to have been professionally adapted with a non-Childs overarm and spindle assembly, converting it into a micro-benchtop vertical mill. The original Childs column was cast with Conneaut, Ohio, so it's reasonable to assume that everything below the overarm originated there.
