This is not my lathe, I saw it for sale on my local kijiji and got permission from the seller to post it here. This model is known as the "Pitel" lathe, after the telegraph code used to order it. This model was manufactured between 1950 and '60, and this example is from early in its run (see Grace's Guide page, linked below). Center height is 8? inches, giving a usable swing of 17 inches. Total bed length is about 78 inches, giving 46 inches between centers.
Spindle speed tops out at 477 RPM. Spindle hole is 2 inches. Somewhat unusual for an English machine, it has an L1 taper on the spindle nose.
