Bought this "Plus 10" RAS for cheap and tore it down completely. It had been equipped with the Delta 12" Radial Arm Saw Motor Kit by a previous owner. The kit included newer motor, yoke, and blade guard, essentially making it into the 12" RAS-3A. The 'new' motor was the 2-piece cast aluminum with electric brake version, which replaced the original rounded motor with manual lever brake. Once it was cleaned up and painted, I replaced the motor with a single-phase 2 hp latest generation motor with extruded aluminum motor frame, as the motor it came with was burned out and not considered rebuildable (glued stator to frame). This saw also does NOT have the replaceable track rods with concave track rollers like the final version did (as well as the similar-looking larger versions); instead, it has convex rollers riding in grooves machined directly into the arm, which is problematic once worn as the worn areas tend to be near the back only. I added a Delta LV motor control and a push-button station I had laying around, but did not wire the switch on the front of the arm. If I ever replace the arm with one with track rods, I'll wire that in also.
