I was searching for a PM 1150 drill for a few months; when I received a cell phone message when I was at ARFEST 2005. This PM 1150 drill press was bought through private sale from a gentleman in central IA in Oct '05. Who bought from the
Des Moines, IA high School auction the year previous. It was wired for 3ph. The original spindle was a 33 taper. After further exmaination, I noticed some spindle runout. I replaced the spindle with a new MT#2, and a new Jacobs chuck & arbor. The table had drill holes in it. It cost me $20 from a local welder to weld up the grey cast...Good as new now. Unfortunatly the PM was painted blue, the HS colors. I replaced the 3ph motor with a new Baldor 1ph motor wired for 120v. New clutch belt was also replaced.
