Comments:
I bought this in Walkill, NY from the granddaughter of the original owner. She grew up in Quebec, her grandfather worked full time for the Canadian Pacific RR, part time cabinet maker, through his RR connections was able to mail order Delta jointer, scroll saw, floor DP and BS from the states. She can remember helping in the shop. PO said the machines haven't been used since 1995. I haven't had a chance to run it but she looks to be in excellent condition and complete. Bonus was the roller support, it has a Walker Turner look but I haven't looked through the WT dirty paper to verify. This jointer will be cleaned up to use in my shop, replacing my Boice Crane. I will check the bearings, I hope to keep the general 'earned patina look'.
2/10/19 Update
Bearings needed replacing, one thing lead to another which lead to a repaint. The motor bearings were replaced, I nuts up something when doing so motor isn't working properly it's been gently placed in the rat hole for another season. Installed a 3/4 hp 3450 50s Craftsman, reconfigured the pulleys to slow the cutter head to original specs. She works well a real joy to have in the shop.
