After a brief hiatus for the Thanksgiving holiday, I got back to work on restoring my tablesaw. The focus of effort was on the trunions and main table. Both were stripped of paint and gunk, washed with mineral spirits and received a coat of gray primer and then three coats of dove gray gloss enamel. It's starting to look like a table saw again, with the trunions and main table attached to the carriage and stand. Even without the rip fence and rip fence bars, this baby is heavy!! A fellow OWWMer, David Smith, graciously provided me with the guard plate I was missing. Thank you, David!! Now I'm turning my attention to the rip fence, which is looking to be a major undertaking, as the micro-adjust screw is rust-frozen in the rip fence head and I've no idea how I'm going to get it out. I'll think of something, but it's going to be a challenge. After that, all I've got left is the motor!! Stay tuned...
