Comments:
I purchased this machine through the local Buy/Sell/Trade. The lathe had obviously been used and maintained as there was a conspicuous lack of rust. All moving parts were well oiled and moved freely. Once I got it home I cleaned it up, added a safety guard, changed the linen belt to a rubber (serpentine) belt, replaced the motor with a permanent magnet variable speed motor with a variable speed controller and for added pizzaz added a digital tachometer.
I hope that the makers of this lathe approve! It somehow seems befitting of their unique, forward thinking design.
I liked this lathe so much that I made a video/slide show with more pre and post pictures. Here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-gLAGyTHu4&feature=youtu.be
