Found this metal cutting band saw in the local classifieds for our neighborhood in January 2017. It was missing parts but mostly intact. I searched for months trying to find the manufacturer and other info about this one and all I could find was one other that a member had posted some photos about his. When we compared part number (parts stamped with numbering by the manufacturer) we determined they were the same saws made by Dayton. So based on his photos I was able to complete my band saw (Big thanks to Mike). Several observations about the country of origin and manufacturer; every nut, bolt and threaded fastener are imperial dimensions (no metric parts) and the old blade guide bearings were marked as made by a German manufacturer.

First hurdle was replacing the broken lower guide bracket (someone else had attempted to repair it but that didn't last). I made a two-piece steel bracket and that worked fine. I had to make new wheel and blade guards and I added a steel stand (from an old Delta scroll saw). I found an after market belt guard that worked so I didn't have to make one. I has a small lamp that I added to provide task lighting. It's simple but it works(held in place with two rare earth magnets under the base so I can position the light where I need it).

All cleaned and painted it looks and works like new. It's a slow-go process cutting metal but it beats using that hack saw!
