I recently purchased this power hack saw on an eBay auction. It has no maker's name or nametag anywhere that I have found. It is unlike any other power hack saw I have seen, as it has two upright posts and a slide mechanism which serve to guide the saw blade. It is much like a miter box design. Various parts are serial numbered, but with slightly different numbers, although within a small range of 420x. Someone added a limit switch to function as an auto off at some point in it's history. I was going to repaint it and put it to work, but as I started cleaning it, I found that the original black paint was in excellent condition. Consequently, I am going to give it a thorough cleaning and lubrication, remove (temporarily at least) the limit switch, and supporting electronics, install a vise, and see how it works. I'll post photos of the "finished" product when I have it running. I am curious though as to whether anyone recognizes the machine and can give me a manufacturer's name. Thanks.
