A fellow OWWMer in Glide Oregon received this lathe from a friend and passed it along. Fits the description of what lathes.co.uk calls a "Series 10" with a 42" bed that puts it around 1934. However after more research this was a type C model sold as a stripped down version that Atlas briefly offered and that was later upgraded. This one does not have the original motor and maybe not the original switch, as there were several switches in the parts box, as the lathe came partially dissembled. the few pics I have been able to find do not show the forward and reverse switch as this one has. The traverse gear case and some other apron parts were broken and it was missing a few other bits. The pictures show a newer cross slide installed, replacing the original zamak version, to enable use of a milling attachment.
