These photos of a "field find" were sent to us by Janet Burgess. The last photo shows the name as cast into the cutterhead cover: "Bowmanville Machine Co. / Bowmanville Ont."

EDIT: VintageMachinery member Art Shaw pointed out that this Bowmanville planer strongly resembles those from B. D. Whitney & Co. of Winchendon, Mass. E.g, the one shown here:
