Was given this saw by my uncle 25 years ago. It is in great working order and I use it regularly for small cuts and trim work. It is powered by a 1/2 HP Maytag washing machine motor. The blade guard was never used, but I put it on for the picture. I was told that no motor came with this saw when new. It was purchased at Canadian Tire.
