Boice-Crane spindle sander I bought on ebay for $256 in 11/05. Decal instead of metal tag probably indicates a late date (1960s or later?)--I haven't found a serial number. Of Toledo Ohio manufacture, so before B-C moved to Nebraska. 1/3 hp 110v motor. The green paint was original, in fair shape. I didn't like it. Cast iron table, and, interestingly, a cast iron belt guard. After purchase, I added a little oil and some grease, and it rand very well. The rubber boot was completely broken in two.

After almost a year and a half, I found the time to rehab the machine. I saved the decal, but painted everything else. The original decal is under the new two-tone blue one, which is glued to a refrigerator-type flexible magnet sheet. I replaced the boot (email Karl Shields for instructions on which automobile joint boot to buy), put a new cord on the motor, and rebuilt the mobile base with the right size wood. New oil finished it up.
