Comments:
I purchased this saw from a reseller in Chambersburg, PA. It looked pretty rough at the time, but since I already own a Whitney 177, and love that saw, I decided to pick this one up. As it turned out, it was just a lot of junk and dust on top of the table. The saw had been completely gone through and was exceptionally clean underneath. The motor had also been rewound. It has a General T fence, which is a bit mess since the mounting bracket is blocking the miter slot at the front of the table. It had a rack & pinion fence, which I'm now using on my 177. The table insert had been replaced with a 3/4" piece of aluminum that someone took a great deal of care to make. it included six hex head adjustment screws to compensate for the wear points under the old insert.
