I picked up this GW-I on Ebay for $100.00. The saw was a rusty, dirty mess. Most every part on the saw was either rusty and or seized. I totally dismantled the saw and stripped everything down to bare metal, sanded, primed and repainted. I went with a light Machinery gray, with a black, white, gray fleck. I also re-built the motor. New bearings, fan, capicitor, cord, etc. The only thing this machine needs now to be totally complete is the anti-kickback rod and the small red pull knob that pivots the motor. Table rails are on and waiting for a new Mr.Sawdust table. The blade on the saw is a re-conditioned original Forrest Mr.Sawdust 60 tooth TCP with brass inserts. Done.

Small homemade video's of the restored GW-I with a Forrest WW-1 TCG in crosscut and raising a panel with a 2 knife DeWalt shaper head can be seen here..
