I responded to an local ad about an older Delta drill press forsale for $50. On examination it was labeled as a Montgomery Wards Powr-Kraft. The press was also covered with hardened mixture of very fine sawdust, dirt, and oil. The drill press also ran a bit rough. The seller must have noticed my hesitation as he decided to include a heavy duty two wheel dolly with the drill press for $50. So with the extra incentive I purchased it.

After tearing it all apart and scrubbing it clean with mineral spirits, it was in very nice condition. I did not need to even repaint it. I replaced the four radial bearings with help from National Bearing Service (Thanks Vince!). I also had to scrounge a clock type spring and reduce the width to make a quill return spring. In the end it cost me about $150 plus a lot of labor, but I am very happy with the result.
