I purchased this tablesaw from my aunt's boyfriend around 1998. His dad had purchased it many years prior and did some small woodworking projects and home remodeling projects. I never saw any of his projects, but after using the saw I would guess they didn't come out all that well. The serial # is 5011, if that helps with dating. Honestly, this is kind of a crappy saw. In the manual (which I still have) it states that the saw blade spins almost twice as fast as normal table saws. This is supposedly so it cuts faster and smoother. About all I can say is it cuts LOUDER. Something about that blade spinning at 3500 rpm and the guards and miter slides being loose and wobbly did not give me a feeling of confidence the few times I used the saw. Also, the cast metal trunions were so sloppy that any cut over 3/4" deep caused the saw blade to cock and jam in the cut (again, not a safe feeling with that 3500 rpm blade spinning next to your fingers). The saw housing was a cheap stamped and spot-welded sheetmetal affair and one corner was out of square by about 5 degrees. Also, the motor had a bad habit of popping the reset and it wouldn't start back up for an hour or so unless you kept fiddling with it. I can honestly say I only used the saw a few times and found it easier and quicker to just lay boards on a pair of sawhorses and clamp a straight edge to them and cut them with my big Skilsaw. The photos I posted where taken when the saw was in the back of my truck on its way to a local sping farmers auction. I believe I got $10 and was happy to get that much.
