AMT 32” Radial drill press
Jacobs U8K64 Multi-Craft chuck 5/64”-1/2”
Delco 1/3 hp C1634M1 two speed 1725/1140 rpm fan motor
The drill press is in excellent shape for its age.
It appears to have been used indoors and well maintained its entire life.
>>HISTORY<<
July 2018: Estate sale find, Royal Oak Michigan.
Previous owner used this drill (along with a Post-WWII Powr-Kraft/Duro 8” tilt table saw, AMT belt/disk sander and wood lathe), to restore antique clocks.
He also adapted a two speed fan motor, with rotary switch, which provides six speeds from the three step pulley set.
The drill currently lacks an on/off switch.
I plan on changing the rotary switch to a center off toggle and maintain the two motor speeds.
I don't want to change the motor because it works and is very light.
Any other motor would be heavier and make it even more tippy.
Rewired with on-off-on double pole switch and replacement 18-3 power cord and plug.
