Recently purchased off of ebay for way to much money. I can't find a serial number anywhere. It appears to be a Universal Woodworker Jointer that has been pretty modified. Someone converted from babbit bearings to ball bearings with mounts when it looks like the babbit metal wore out on the pulley side. What the previous owner did was just mounted the new bearings to a steel plate that was mounted in the existing babbit bearing bolt holes, put huge steel blocks under the 4 slides on each side, and fabricated a piece for the hand wheels to work at a lower position. Amazingly nothing was cut and nothing original was drilled into! this means that it can one day be 100% original. Only pieces missing are the top caps for the babbit bearings, and the guard ( i'll make a better one). Would love some direction on replacing the missing parts!

Will update photos as restoration progresses.
