Comments:
After a very long search, I located this planer in Southern California.  The owner was well versed in the repair and restoration of these models and I wanted a machine requiring little or no maintenance to start with--plug and play.  I asked him if he would be interested in doing a complete rebuild and he said yes.  We struck a deal, and nearly 5 months later the planer was ready.  Now since I live in NW Washington state and the planner was closer to the Mexican border than I was to the Canadian border, the trip was not going to be a short one.  As it turned out, it was 2,912 miles all-in-all lasting 6 days.  The planer is now unloaded and hooked up to my dust collection and still undergoing shakedown/basic training on it's use.  I think the planer will be an outstanding improvement over the incumbent Powermatic 225.
