Original owner appears to be Holiday Rambler Corporation of Wakarusa Indiana. I acquired the machine from an individual in Columbus Ohio. He bought it from someone in Michigan. The cabinet was brush painted silver, but the head and base are original sea foam green. I stripped and prepped the cabinet, leaving the mechanicals the original color. I matched the paint at a local automotive paint dealer using the small triangular belt guard as the reference. I also replaced all of the bearings. The motor shaft and main sander spindle are machined out of a single piece of steel. The main motor bearing is located between the sander spindle and the armature. The armature must be pressed off before the main bearing can be removed. Even though not original, I run the 3-phase sander motor through a VFD for speed control, and replaced the oscillating motor to single phase.

New bearings, VFD and paint. The paint is a little darker than the original but has the correct metal flake look.
