Comments:
This machine had been sitting unused for about ten years, and was purchased from the buyers of the building that formerly held the machine shop. It had been run from a lineshaft. A good selection of tooling came with the machine: boring bars, steady rests, cone and live centers, tool holders and bits, wrenches, dogs, and change gears.
It appeared to be an auction purchase from years ago, evidenced by the buyer's bid number written in grease pencil on the apron.
The chuck is marked "Cushman 1898"
