I got this machine and a twin which was in much uglier condition at an auction in May 2005, just outside Chillicothe IL. It was an estate sale. The deceased had gotten these machines, and quite a few others, from schools. This supports the notion that many of these smallish Y-A machines were sold to schools/vocational training shops in addition to the home and hobby buyer. I registered the serial number with Doug Westlind. It has a 3/4 hp 110 Franklin motor. The proper miter gauge, jointer fence, and trapezoidal table extensions are sitting on the saw table. I hope to clean up and repaint the body and do a little more clean up. It is a pretty solid little machine and weighs about 230 lbs. I suspect it will become a basement machine for some of those cold winter nights when the "shop" (garage which no longer has space for a car) is too cold. This auction was attended by Mike Burian from Iowa and Harry Harsha, among others. Harry got a nice Delta lathe that day.
