Purchased this planer from a retired engineer in Montgomery, TX. He had restored it about 5 years ago and it's still in excellent, working condition. The nice condition of various wear parts - knives, gears, bearings, sleeved table roller bearings, etc. - convinced both of us it was lightly used. He also built the very nice and sturdy mobile base, upgraded the motor to 3 HP and fabricated a beautiful set of knife setting and bed reference gauges. We planed some wood onsite and I was very impressed with the lack of snipe and great thickness consistency.
