I'm not at liberty to say where this lathe is. Sufficient to say it's in the lower half of the North Island of New Zealand.

Another lovely old Dean Smith and Grace (the "Rolls Royce" of metal lathes) 17" lathe - in good working order.

The lathe has 18 speeds: 9.8, 13.4; 17.3; 22.5, 31; 40; 51; 70; & 90r.p.m. in "slow", and 98, 134; 173; 225, 310; 400; 510; 700; & 900r.p.m. in "fast". There are also six speeds in reverse: 17.3; 40; & 90r.p.m. in "slow", and 173; 400; & 900r.p.m. in "fast".
