I'm not at liberty to say where this lathe is. Sufficient to say it's in the lower half of the North Island of New Zealand.
A lovely old Dean Smith and Grace (the "Rolls Royce" of metal lathes) 17" lathe - still in working order, but needing some TLC.
The lathe has 18 speeds: 9.8, 13.4; 17.3; 22.5, 31; 40; 51; 70; & 90r.p.m. in "slow", and 98, 134; 173; 225, 310; 400; 510; 700; & 900r.p.m. in "fast". There are also six speeds in reverse: 17.3; 40; & 90r.p.m. in "slow", and 173; 400; & 900r.p.m. in "fast".
