At the time I had been looking for a powermatic 24” for quite some time when this became available about 5hrs from me. Now I usually get machines of this size shipped but for some reason I went to pick it up and had all kind of hurdles to cross in the process. For one a blowout on my trailer and two running out of gas 2 miles from the shop where the planer was because I was in a hurry and I had 50 miles til zero and then all the sudden there were no gas stations for miles and miles. When I got there and inspected the machine it was in good shape. Don’t know when the last time it had been ran. Weren’t any wood chips anywhere in the machine. And after inspecting it I realized this machine actually came from a prison, “Dayton correctional institution.” I hate that it has been painted but I will work on that in due time. First thing I want to do is get a helical head in this thing.
