Purchased this in Berkeley CA from a small machine shop.
They had no real history on this machine other than it was aquired from a employee who's father was a aircraft mechanic. They speculated this machine may have come from Travis AFB.
I contacted Hardinge and all I got was a basic production date(late 1943).
A definite war effort machine. It is badged"property of USAF" and AC Delco sparkplug division.
No longer a production work horse. It's retired to a easy life as a designated tubing notcher.
I would love to know more history on this machine. And if anyone has a drawbar for it I'd be interested.
