My bastard motor, 3 motor parts to get 1 good one. New outdoor cord soldered to new switch. I try not to mess with the winding wires, as they are generally 75 years old or so, so the less movement the better. If it comes down to rewinding, it is financially impossible, save the case and scrap the copper. The last quote I had was 6 months ago to wind a similar motor. $250-$325. Can't do that.

Make sure to pull the bewaring caps off the ends and regrease them. These were encased in a brown crusty substance that used to be grease. If I had started it without checking, I would be installing new bearings right now. I am huge on maintainance.

All ready. New switch, grease, a little paint, and a new base, the old 1 was chipped, but still have. Although a double ended shaft, only 1 on right now.
