This Wadkin knife setting gauge sold here (New Zealand) recently. I was interested, but the price was too rich for me.

These are used to set the knives in the cutter-block of buzzers (surface planers, jointers) and thicknessers (planers).

For setting buzzer knives the setter is placed on the outfeed table (see 4th photo). For thicknessers it is placed up-side down on the table inside the machine.

I believe Wadkin sold the design or manufacturing rights to Powermatic (USA).
